Cardiovascular Diseases

Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are still the leading cause of death worldwide and thus a major public health issue. In Suriname, CVD is also the leading cause of morbidity and mortality. Our research focuses on collecting data about CVD and evaluating this health issue. Pre-clinical studies on conventional as well as traditional medicinal treatment possibilities are conducted in collaboration with our research partners.
